Apple Trail Week-Vlog: Keri Ford reads from IN THE HAY

Today I have a special treat for the loyal Apple Trail Week followers: A Vlog. Not by me because I am camera shy, would die of stage fright and most importantly, you don’t want to see me on screen…trust me, you really don’t! No, I have the pleasure of introducing you to the wonderful Keri Ford herself. She’ll read a scene from IN THE HAY and I’m sure that, like me, once you’ve heard Keri speak, you will not be able to read the Apple Trail books without hearing that lovely, southern accent.

Sit back, relax and enjoy!

  1. That was sure fun, before I have to go to the office! Keri, you really should read a little bit slower, so you are easier to understand for those for whom English is not their first language. But thank you very much for this!

  2. Love the video, Keri! I'm so far behind on all this techno stuff, haven't seen this before. What a great idea! When you get the slow talking part down, please let me know how you did it. LOL

  3. LOL I'll see what I can do Melissa! Isn't that hard to do?? I naturally talk fast…so it's a challenge to slow me down.If I channel a Georgia accent, I might could pull it off. LOL I'll try that with my Making Her Nights release!

  4. Hi Keri, great video. I know I'll definitely hear and incorporate your voice & tone in my head when I read the series now. I've loved the posts so far this week; can't wait! Thanks. :)bimmergrlmd at gmail dot com

  5. @keriford "oh, wow. youtube selected an attractive clip of me for the still part!" that was what I thought but didn't want to say out loud *wink* I just smiled while hearing you read, love the accent but then suddenly the steaminess of the story demanded my attention *grin*

  6. thanks Leontine! YouTube always does me wrong like that! I can change it, but it takes a while for it to process. we'll call that look "getting into the moment" or "she's about to sneeze"

  7. That was very entertaining! Do you publish your books as audiobooks? You really should and read them yourself. :) Loved the excerpt!claudigc at msn dot com

  8. lol Claudia. thanks! I think my publisher is starting to look at audio books, but nothing confirmed anywhere.I think I would have fun reading them, but it would be so hard because I tend to talk fast.
